You cannot practice medicine in Australia without AHPRA registration. However, you can work in non-clinical roles or observe in hospitals with appropriate permissions.
AHPRA accepts OET (Medicine) with minimum B in all components, IELTS Academic with 7.0 in all bands, or PTE Academic with 65 in all components.
Initial registration doesn't require Australian references, but you'll need professional references from your previous supervisors or colleagues who can verify your work history.
